Field course in the Swiss Alps
A field course in Switzerland has been organized as a part of "Field Studies in Cryosphere". During the course, participants can directly experience field measurements in the Alps and also visit scientific research institutes in Switzerland.
Outline of the course
○ Objective:
- to learn the method of the field measurement through the field course on the glacier.
- to understand glacial- and periglacial environment through the observation.
- to visit Swiss institutes to learn the state-of-the-art researches in the geoenvironmental study.

Students in Master/PhD course in Graduate School of Environmental Science
○ Number of participants
ca. 10 to 15
○ Instructors of the course :
Dr. Shin Sugiyama, Dr. Yoshiyuki Ishii, Dr. Tetsuo Sueyoshi from Hokkaido University (Graduate School of Env. Science).
